Adur & Worthing Councils are to streamline their grants process to make applications simpler and less time-consuming for community groups. From this year four grants - the Adur Community Grant, Community Transport Grant, Worthing Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Neighbourhood Fund and income from textile recycling in Adur - will now be pooled into one pot of money with one application form, one set of funding criteria and a consistent assessment process.

Residents, community groups and businesses are being invited to help make Adur and Worthing greener by sponsoring trees through a new council-run scheme.Adur & Worthing Councils have launched the initiative to make it easy for people to fund tree planting in their neighbourhoods, parks and open spaces while supporting nature and enhancing urban environments.

Work to begin on permanent repair for Worthing Pier
Work on a permanent repair to protect Worthing Pier for future generations is set to begin this August.The pier had to be closed suddenly in October 2024 after it suffered storm damage to its supporting piles that left it unsafe for the public.
