Residents asked how safe they feel in their neighbourhood

How safe do you feel in your community? That’s the question Adur and Worthing residents are being asked as part of a new survey to improve public safety.

Adur & Worthing Councils, alongside other key organisations and groups, are seeking honest feedback from the community to better understand and address incidents across the area.

Councils criticise A27 plans

Plans to improve the A27 and provide an environmental and economic boost to the region do not go far enough due to a lack of investment and lack of ambition to improve alternatives to car journeys, councillors have warned.
The road, which is a mixture of dual and single carriageway, is the only east-to-west trunk road south of the M25 and is hugely important for both businesses and residents.

Worthing Community Chest Needs YOUR Vote!

Since 2001, Worthing Community Chest has awarded almost £450,000 in grants to diverse and phenomenal local groups, who have made a huge impact in Worthing. To celebrate our communities, Worthing Community Chest are launching some Community Awards, with a special twist.

In January 2023, WCC decided to use the United Nations’ global Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) as its framework. The community awards will also be themed around the UNSDGs.

Next phase for Montague Place is in the hands of Worthing residents

Worthing Borough Council is to work with a range of community groups to develop new designs to transform Montague Place into a green, safe, welcoming space for local residents and visitors to the town.

Residents will then be invited to have final say on the choice of design.
