Work has started on a new memorial garden at Worthing Crematorium that will provide space for 950 new burial plots.Worthing Crematorium has three private memorial garden areas for cremated remains set within its peaceful grounds, but all those spaces are now used or reserved and over 100 families are on a waiting list for a plot.

Thousands of Adur and Worthing residents set to save money on their water bills
Around £760,000 is set to be cut from the bills of the most vulnerable people, thanks to a partnership between Adur & Worthing Councils and Southern Water.As part of a data sharing agreement, the councils’ Proactive team has provided Southern Water with the details of more than 4,500 residents on low incomes or in receipt of benefits who may be eligible for a discount on their bills.

Worthing Pier to reopen next week
Worthing Pier is to reopen next week. The pier had to be closed on safety grounds on October 9, after a number of its supporting piles in the seabed suffered damage caused by severe weather.Since then teams from the council and its contractors have worked closely together to design, develop and install an interim support structure that means the pier can be used again safely.
