Council goes to High Court to fight development

The Council has submitted its legal challenge to the Planning Inspectorate’s decision that the green gap between Goring and Ferring can be built on.
This first step in the process involves the Council asking the High Court for permission to take its case to the court for a judicial review. That review would be heard by a High Court judge and could result in the Planning Inspectorate being told to scrap its original decision and consider the case again.

The Adur District Council and Worthing Borough Council elections will take place on Thursday 5 May 2022, with voting between 7am and 10pm.
A list of nominated candidates has now been published on Adur & Worthing Councils’ website.

Witness Appeal after Serious Assault in Worthing
Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault in Marine Parade, Worthing, which took place around 1.35am on Saturday, March 19.When officers arrived they found the victim lying unconscious on the grass area outside AMF Bowling alley, being attended to by some members of the public.
It appeared the victim had been hit over the head with an object.
