New app helps residents in Adur and Worthing access Council services on the go

Forgetting your bin day should be a thing of the past thanks to a new smartphone app that has launched in Adur and Worthing.

The app, which has been created in partnership with West Sussex County Council, aims to make life simpler by allowing residents to check a range of Council services in one place.

Local Communities reject A27 improvement plans

Local residents agree with Adur & Worthing Councils that the current suggested improvements to the A27 between Worthing and Lancing will not even begin to address congestion problems.

National Highways, the government-owned company charged with operating, maintaining and improving motorways and major A-roads in England, has earmarked £20 million to improve this stretch of the A27. In contrast, improvements to the Arundel bypass further west on the A27 are expected to cost around £320m.

Councils launch investigation into new contractor data breaches

Adur & Worthing Councils have launched an investigation after two of their contractors were caught up in an international data breach.

Debt collection agencies Rundles and Jacobs have contacted the Councils to say that the data of 84 Adur and Worthing residents may have been accessed by a criminal gang as part of a cyber attack on businesses and organisations around the world.
