Repower Worthing invites residents to public assembly on community energy plans

Worthing residents are invited to find out more about plans for a community-owned energy company for the town at a free public assembly next week.

Repower Worthing will hold the event on Tuesday 6th October from 10.30am to 12.30pm at The Community Hub in Beach House Park.

The group is working towards setting up a Local Energy Company for Worthing. Its aim is to provide community-owned, locally generated energy from clean, renewable technologies, and to encourage the move away from climate-changing fossil fuels.

Having already set the wheels in motion, the group is now working towards the next stage of the project. The assembly will cover the aims of the proposed company, share the story so far and give local people the chance to help shape the way forward.

Admission is free and everyone is welcome. Places can be booked through Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/repower-worthing-a-public-assembly-tickets-2001382449783
