A new development forum has been launched in Worthing to help industry stakeholders meet, learn and collaborate on projects that shape the town.

Developers, planning experts and businesses from across the region will meet for the first time later this week to discuss ways they can work together to overcome challenges facing the local construction sector.

Have your say on EV charge points in Adur and Worthing

West Sussex County Council is leading a scheme to introduce electric vehicle (EV) charge points across Adur and Worthing to encourage more people to switch to more sustainable travel. Eesidents can have their say on where they would like to see the new charge points in the county.

Around 1,500 requests for charge points in the county have already been received and the feedback generated from the public will help establish where the final locations are situated.

Lidl given the go ahead to fill empty Worthing unit

Supermarket chain Lidl has been given permission to take over an empty unit at Lyons Farm to open a new store.

Worthing Borough Council’s planning committee has approved plans to convert the former Halfords unit at Downlands Retail Park and the neighbouring unit currently occupied by Bensons for Beds into one branch of Lidl.

Adur & Worthing Councils helps promote local employment with career development scheme

Businesses and students are being brought together to help develop the future workforce, thanks to a new scheme funded by Adur & Worthing Councils.

The Fit for the Future programme has been launched by the Councils in partnership with Coast to Capital Careers Hub and The Careers & Enterprise Company to encourage young people to recognise their skills and help local businesses promote their industry and future job opportunities.
