June 20th, 2023Local Communities reject A27 improvement plans
Local residents agree with Adur & Worthing Councils that the current suggested improvements to the A27 between Worthing and Lancing will not even begin to address congestion problems.National Highways, the government-owned company charged with operating, maintaining and improving motorways and major A-roads in England, has earmarked £20 million to improve this stretch of the A27. In contrast, improvements to the Arundel bypass further west on the A27 are expected to cost around £320m.

Councils launch investigation into new contractor data breaches
Adur & Worthing Councils have launched an investigation after two of their contractors were caught up in an international data breach.Debt collection agencies Rundles and Jacobs have contacted the Councils to say that the data of 84 Adur and Worthing residents may have been accessed by a criminal gang as part of a cyber attack on businesses and organisations around the world.

Worthing community groups invited to apply for development money
Are you part of a group that is working to enhance or support the lives of people in Worthing?Applications for the Worthing Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Neighbourhood Fund are now open, with local community groups, organisations and residents’ associations able to bid for up to £15,000 to fund projects in the town.
