People with disabilities will get the chance to take on their own allotment plot, thanks to funding from Worthing Borough Council. Work has begun on four new accessible allotment plots at Humber Avenue Allotments in West Durrington, after the community interest group that runs the site successfully bid for £15,000 from the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Neighbourhood Fund.

New beach wheelchairs available for hire in Worthing
Worthing’s pebble beaches will be more accessible for disabled residents and visitors thanks to the arrival of three pieces of specialist equipment.Following a fundraising campaign led by the local community, two beach wheelchairs and a single all-terrain rollator are now available from Worthing Borough Council’s Coastal Office.
